Today I’m going to be telling you about a really fun kids craft. So today we are going to be doing Diamond Art, and before you read the rest of this blog make sure that you are 6 and above. The diamond art pieces are really small and I don’t want anyone choking. Now what you’ll need is all the different colors of Diamonds, Pink glue stuff, and a sticky picture that your Diamonds are supposed to go on, and lastly the pen that you pick up the glue and the Diamonds with.
What I am going to be telling you today is the step by step process on making Diamond Art. You might want a stamp container to organize all of your Diamonds. You don’t need to go out and buy anything special because this is just our little sisters stamp box. To set up you might want to take the sticky picture and tape it on a flat surface because it was rolled up for a long time in that box and is curled up. You will just put the pink glue on the surface.
Now let’s talk about how you know where to put your diamond on the sticky page. As you can see on the corner on the sticky page there are little dots that are on the page too, and tell you what color that symbol is. On the packages of each color diamond and it will have numbers and letters. On the corner of the sticky page to the are the symbols of the color and straight across is that combination of numbers and words. For example, A1, A2, A3, A4 and so on.
Now that you’re all set up you want to take the pen and push it into the pink glue. Only then do if your pen actually won’t pick up a diamond and won’t stick to the diamond. Then you want to make sure that the jewel or diamond that you’re going to pick up with the pen tool is right side up or when you stick it on the sticky picture it will be the wrong way. Also, here is a tip: do one color at a time or you will get overwhelmed and won’t do it anymore.
You want to pick up the jewel over and over, and place it where the labels on the side tell you to put it depending on what color the diamond is. the diamond won’t stick to the pen anymore. When that happens you just wanna get more glue by pushing the pen down into the glue again. This is really simple but you will need a lot of patients. This may or may not take a week depending on how constant you are with it.
You want to know once you’re done with one color move on to the next color. If yours has a lot of colors like mine has it probably will take you longer than others. If you guys lose a diamond on the ground or something don’t worry because there are extras which is really handy. Once you’re done for the day, put it somewhere safe so none of you siblings can get a hold of it.
If you are done for now make sure to put the plastic back on the sticky picture so it doesn’t run out of stickiness. However, if you can’t remember to do that then only take off a little bit of plastic at a time. This project will take a while but it will all be worth it in the end.
Now once you are all done with the project you can hang it up in your room or anywhere in your house. Make sure that you have pressed against the diamond picture a couple times so it is secure when you hang it up. So you might have to tape it or cut a hole and hand it up with a nail. Mine is a unicorn but it doesn’t really matter what you get.
That’s all for this week, I hope you enjoyed Diamond Art. Make sure to check out my last blog post and my last Youtube video. Tell me if you have any questions and I’ll try to answer all of them.
